Le Marche

Le Marche is a region of Italy on the East Coast. It’s a very overlooked region by tourists – I don’t know why… it has fabulous scenery, not just beautiful Tuscan style rolling hills, but the very impressive Siblini Mountains which seem to grow out of the horizon from nowhere, and some wonderful town/villages/paeses to visit, lots of interesting wildlife and well, it feels more like visiting the “real” Italy rather than a stereotype of it.

There’s 5 provinces in Le Marche: Pesaro and Urbino, Ancona, Macerata, Fermo and Ascoli Piceno. I’ve visited a few already and hope to visit some more and will report back here…

Airports: Ancona and Rimini are probably the best airports to fly to, being in Le Marche themselves. Otherwise, Venezia, Perugia Sant’Egidio or Pescara are not too far away.

This page is work in progress – as I travel around and get some time, I’ll add a page for each of the areas. Meanwhile, please bear with!
